Kate Woods, IAABC-ADT, FFCP (they/them)

Combining skills gained over seven years of experience in (non-animal!) experimental research and a deep interest in dog behaviour, I'm here to bring you dog training content with real science behind it.

Data-driven approaches to behaviour intervention are my passion. We'll track your dog's behaviour so you can see real change in real time. Don't just trust me at my word. See your success and feel it, too!

I'm a professional problem-solver

If there's one thing I learned in geology school, it's that a hammer is far from our only tool. When it comes to dog training, I firmly believe that mobility and dexterity should not be limiting factors in dog training.

In Memoriam: Get Ready Ta Rumble, ATD "Greta"

Greta the border collie was a house pet, a demo dog, and a certified baddie. She flunked obedience, but went on to graduate at the top of the class from the School of Hard Knocks! Greta was the original Dog in the Know – our first mascot.

Know Dogs Allowed exists because of Greta
, and it will carry on for dogs like her.

Greta passed away on April 22, 2025. She was humanely relieved from increasing pain and suffering complicated by aggression.
